I was rejected by Kellogg on February 25th, a day after my Foster interview. I was pretty bummed about that because I worked really hard on my applications, talked a lot with alumni and did a lot of research and truly thought I'd be a good fit for the school. Alas, the AdCom did not think so.
On a happier note, I did receive an interview invite for Stanford MBA. I have two weeks to schedule it. Needless to say, I am very excited. I am also considering extending my trip to the Bay Area so I can visit the campus and a class. Additionally, I am on a mission to seek out current and past students to talk to about their experience and to help me prepare for my interview. I really hope to nail this one and I feel that I have a lot to improve upon from my last three interviews.
Overall, I think the application process has been one of the wildest rides of my life. The ups and downs can be likened to a roller-coaster ride at least.
I am very grateful for all the support I have around me - from my family, to my boyfriend, to work colleagues and boss and to all the loyal friends who have helped me stay sane through this. This process will be over in less than a month now and I am looking forward to making some decisions and plans for the next little bit of my life.
